'Tis the Season...

...for a jolly food and drink bonanza: champagne, cocktails, indulgent snacks, crispy roast potatoes, stuffing, pigs in blankets, and thick gravy are all regular fixtures for those who partake in western festive cooking! 

However, no matter how delicious these treats are, they're calorie-laden and often, pretty nutrient-light.

Of course, you must enjoy your festive traditions - have what you want - but don't make it an eat and drink fest from now until the New Year!  Watch your portion sizes, don't have massive return helpings and maintain some daily physical activity to keep your metabolic fire burning and avoid piling on unwanted pounds that are harder to shift in the winter months.
